Kingdom Key

Description

I finally made a proper kingdom key, and a video tutorial for it (see bottom of description). This time I made some improvements that I learned from making both the Kingdom Key D and the X-blade. I learned to use poplar instead of oak, so there isn't any wood grain showing I also utilized bondo to fill in gaps, scratches, knicks, and such instead of wood putty. I made the teeth separate from the pole this time, which made the pole smoother and rounder, as well as making the teeth easier to make. I used the sorby spiralling tool on the handle and it came out better than on the x-blade. I used a U-fasterner instead of an eye-bolt.

Specs: 38.5" long, 12.5" at widest, 2" at thickest

This is honestly the best quality, size, and finish on a keyblade I have seen in a long time. The paint job is very smooth, there are no messy edges, glue, scrapes or anything. I love the detail of the curved blue part of the pole, that is a very nice touch and shows you put a lot of thought into making this prop look real. The chain and Mickey Mouse pendant look very clean and solid. I love how the Mickey Mouse pendant is curved, that looks hard to do! The size is what impresses me as well. Most keyblades like this one have tiny teeth, the pole is too long or thing, or the proportions are just awkward. The size and proportions here look very realistic and accurate to the game. It is also 3D, which is great compared to the usual 2D blades painted on wood or something similar.

Overall, wonderful quality, technique seems very sturdy and clean, the only suggestion I have for now is a cool background or cosplay photo! Great job, you have a wonderful talent, keep it up!
