Well i used three 3/4 inch boards for pretty much everything except some of the main blade above the hilt where it turns blue. So yeah, you may want more

Now I know I keep asking questions, sorry about that, but how did you cut out the smaller hole sections? I've been using a drill bit and then going from there, but that doesn't cut it.

By the way, this looks legitimately sick!!!! I cannot wait to see what it looks like when it's done!!

It really depends on when i work at my other job, but it usually takes about 15-20 hours to carve.

Well i'd say it took one night to draw it, just a few hours, then i cut it out in a day. It went so quickly thanks to my new scroll saw! So glad i have that now. Almost done arving the whole top section. On a break right now

Thanks! I already glued the other layers on as you can see in the other comments. So right now, the key weighs about 8 pounds, but its more top heavy, it should be around 6 when i'm finished carving. I have pics of the layers glued on if you want em

Thanks, my brand new scroll saw was used to cut it out. I just finished using it for the last time for this project. I cut out some pieces to thicken the keyblade and after it dries it'll be ready to carve

Dude, you have no idea. No one has ever made this before, not even the no name keyblade. It's gonna be kinda slow, but i think i can get it.

I would make it if i had the time lol
Its very three dimensional and is going to need a lot of patience with all those moving parts and layering.
I'll make it when someone pays me to. haha

Yeah i'm gonna cast some clear resin covers for the clocks on it, but unfortunately i wont be able to make the gears or clocks work. I dont think the hands at the top are supposed to anyway, being that the blue parts protrude from them.
